Definition: A device consisting of a rotating driver and driven wheel which are designed to be mounted on individual shafts. The driver wheel has a protruding bearing mounted eccentrically on its face which is designed to mesh with precision slots in the driven wheel. With each revolution of the driver wheel, the driven wheel rotates intermittently a designated fraction of the 360 degree rotation. The mechanism will rotate in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion.
