Definition: A compact, lightweight tool designed to be used as a hand tool or may be used as a production bench tool. It is used for crimping contacts and electrical wire. The internal ratcheting mechanism compels the tool to complete a full crimp cycle prior to identer release and return to preclude the possibility of a partial crimp.
