Definition:  A vairable speed saw, basically designed to cut and/or file metal, using a band saw blade and/or a band file that is revolved or rotated around a driver and idler wheel(s). The teeth form a vertical line while passing through the work. It is equipped with a fixed or tilting horizontal table for mounting the work. The work table and/or saw frame may be capable of tilting as a unit to permit angle cutting. It may be provided with sufficient cutting speeds to allow for wood and/or other material cutting.
