Description:  1. (Hand) A manually operated hand tool for cutting wood, metal, plastics, bone, and the like, by means of a flat or round blade. The blade has a series of sharp cutting teeth or a continuous helical tooth which removes successive portions of material when the blade is reciprocated. It must include a handle and/or frame, or the like for holding and operation of the saw blade. 2.
