Definition:  A cylindrical item which forms the outer portion of a bathythermograph blister and which is fabricated in such a manner as to inclose the thermal element core of bathythermograph equipment. Description:  1. (Instrument) An item inclosing the working elements of a meter, gage, indicator, and the like.
